Done and dusted. Another death-row case has come to an end.

Jeremy Tremaine Williams, 42, was executed by lethal injection at Holman Correctional Facility in Alabama on August 13, 2026, and was pronounced dead at 6:16 p.m. He had been sentenced to death for the 2021 r**e and killing of 5-year-old Kamarie Holland in Russell County.

Williams waived further appeals, clearing the way for Alabama to carry out the ex*****on, while Gov. Kay Ivey declined to intervene.
What makes this case particularly disturbing is the alleged role of Kamarie’s mother. In my view, she was not merely a bystander—I believe she played a major role in the events that led to her daughter’s death and escaped accountability for what I believe was her involvement. Those are my views, however, and should not be presented as established fact unless supported by the court record.

Williams’ ex*****on was Alabama’s first of 2026. It was also part of an unusual day in the United States: Alabama, Tennessee and Oklahoma all carried out ex*****ons on August 13, marking the first time since January 7, 2010, that three states executed prisoners on the same day.

The case also moved unusually quickly for a capital case. The crime occurred in 2021, Williams was convicted and sentenced to death in 2024, and his ex*****on followed just two years later.
For me, the most heartbreaking part remains the same: a five-year-old child lost her life, and questions about everyone who may have played a role deserve to be examined—not just the person who ultimately received the death sentence.
