My first-time customer reached out to me for a corset gown. After hearing the price, she said it was a bit expensive and asked, "What if I make just the corset top?"
I told her the corset top alone would be ₦30,000 because I would still be drafting, crafting, and sewing it from scratch. Quality doesn't change just because it's only the top.
At first, she hesitated. Then I showed her some of my previous works, and that changed everything.
Guess what? She trusted the process, agreed to the price, and we're officially working on her order. 🥹✨
Moral of the story: Your work will always speak for you. Don't be afraid to charge what your skill, time, and craftsmanship are worth.
