Why Do Lights Look So Bright at Night?
Ever noticed that headlights, streetlights or traffic lights seem extra bright, blurry, or surrounded by rings at night?
This can be due to glare, halos, or reduced night vision.
🔦 GLARE
Bright lights can scatter inside the eye, making it harder to see clearly—especially when driving at night.
⭕ HALOS
You may notice rings or circles around lights. Halos can sometimes occur with uncorrected vision problems or certain eye conditions.
🌃 NIGHT VISION
Our eyes naturally see less detail in low light. If your vision is not fully corrected, this can become even more noticeable at night.
Other factors, such as dry eyes, an outdated glasses prescription, contact lens issues, or certain eye conditions, can also contribute to night-time visual disturbances.
Struggling with night vision? Don’t ignore it.
A comprehensive eye examination can help determine what may be affecting your vision and whether you need an updated prescription or further assessment.
See clearly. Drive safely. Protect your eyes.
