Something people may not know about me and my business is…
I didn’t start Luscious Essentials because I had everything figured out.
I was and still am a nurse. 👩🏽⚕️
I started Luscious Essentials at the beginning of my internship year, at a point when I felt I wanted to explore something outside nursing and venture into something of my own.
But somewhere along the way, I realised there was a need for women to have access to intimate essentials that offer comfort, dignity, privacy and style, without making the experience unnecessarily complicated.
And I also wanted men to be able to purchase intimate essentials for themselves or their better halves without the whole process feeling awkward.
So, I started small.
No physical store.
No big team.
No fancy setup.
Just me, my phone, a few suppliers, customers and a whole lot of learning along the way. 😅
What started as a small idea has gradually become a brand I genuinely care about.
Because one thing about me is that when I decide to do something, I don't do it halfway. I give it my all, no matter how long it takes.
And today, Luscious Essentials is more than selling underwear and loungewear to me.
It is about helping women feel comfortable in what they wear, confident in their choices, and cared for throughout the different seasons of their lives.
I'm still learning.
Still growing.
Still building.
But I'm genuinely grateful for how far we have come.
