Ayo will always wake me up in the middle of the night during my apprentiship period for us to start work.
After two months, that I registered to learn tailoring with my boss then in aba, we had issues with our shop and we have to stop work for some months to enable my boss look for another place and fix everything that was to be fixed in the shop, I remember we stayed for like 3 to 4 months without going to the shop.
Before living to Aba from Lagos, I already talked to Ayo, who is aslo a fashion designer, which he assured me that what ever I need he will teach me what ever he knows in the industry, but that was a problem which is why I had to register with my boss, Ayo has not gotten a shop as at then.
So in those 4 months we stayed at home, Designer Ayo was busy teaching me everything I needed to know about shirt and kaftan top making, he will wake me up in the night and tell me abobi it is time for work and voom we will start work.
I remember the first days he told me to climb his industrial machine, omo, I nearly got injured because of how fast I pressed it.
I wouldn't have known much in shirt making if not because of Ayo, the way he will calm down to explain things to me, the way he will be so focused for me to learn it, the way he will be so determined to make sure am okay with everything without collecting a dime was something else.
Truth be told I wouldn't have been this good if not for the foundation Ayo layed for me .
I will always be grateful to you Designer Ayo for all u did for me during my stay in aba.
