TORIA APPAREL/ FASHION DESIGNER IN AJAH/SANGOTEDO/LAKOWE/LAGOS can make a dress, and another designer can make something that looks almost identical in a picture. But are they really the same?
Did we use the same quality of fabric? Did we spend the same number of hours creating it? Did we draft the pattern ourselves or work from a ready-made one? Did we pay the same attention to the finishing? Did we have the same number of fittings? Do we have the same running costs, the same team, the same standard of workmanship?
The answer is usually no.
That is why I’ve never believed in competing on price. I would rather compete on value.

For me, that’s what luxury really means…. It’s about delivering an experience and a result that makes every naira worthwhile.
So the next time you see two designers charging different prices, don’t be too quick to ask why one is more expensive. Instead, ask yourself what each designer is offering and what you’re actually taking home at the end of the day.
Because price only tells you what you’re paying.
Value tells you what you’re receiving.
And at Toria Apparel, I’ll always choose to deliver value over competing to be the cheapest.
