Most parents carry a quiet fear:
“Am I damaging my children?”
Have you ever asked yourself this?
Because I have.
I’m a worrier.
There are days I question myself…
wonder if I said the wrong thing,
handled something poorly,
or could have done better.
But over time, something changed.
I started listening more closely
to my children—
their words, their responses,
their small moments of honesty.
And I discovered a truth I wish every parent knew:
Children do not need flawless parents.
They need loving parents.
Parents who show up.
Parents who keep trying.
Parents who choose love even on the hard days.
That is enough.
More than enough.
And if you are that parent—
even imperfectly—
please know this:
Your children see you.
They may not always say it now.
You may not always feel it.
But they appreciate more than you realise.
In time, it will show.
So breathe.
You are not failing.
If it is done with love…
you are doing it right.
