Theme: Redefining Scraps — Creating Beauty Out of Waste & Adire Production.

This skill acquisition project was focused on empowering students with value creation skills, creative insights, and practical knowledge.

It was an amazing experience:
▪️ The staff were incredibly supportive
▪️ The students were receptive, well-cultured, creative, and eager to learn

And yes… my first time visiting Lagos 🌍

During the session, I introduced the students to:
✨ The basics of Adire textile design
✨ The cultural and historical background of Adire
✨ Tie-and-dye techniques around the world — from Japanese Shibori to Indian Bandhani
✨ Tools, materials, and practical Adire production sessions

Our partner, Shalom O. Stitches, also led a powerful session on transforming tailoring scraps and fashion waste into value-added products such as:

Overall, it was a beautiful experience of creativity, culture, sustainability, and impact.
