My neighbor had a terrible accident few months after he left his wife and two beautiful kids to be with his SIDECHICK.đ
(ITâS A LONG READ BUT ITâS WORTH IT).
Prior to the time he left home to be with side chick, his wife lost her mother so the wife traveled to the village with their kids to bury her mother.
When the burial preparations began the wife asked her husband for his plans concerning her motherâs burial but he replied that he has no plan.
She kept quiet and continued with the planing with her siblings and her family members without asking a dime from her husband.
She did the little she could do with what she had.
Four days to the burial, his wife went to meet him to take permission to travel to village and bury her mother and he obliged.
The wife inquired to know when he would be coming to the village to pay his last respects to his mother in-law but he didnât say a word.
So she left with the kids to the village the next day.
A day to the burial ceremony, his wife called him to find out when he would arrive village but his line didnât go through.
She was disturbed and frustrated and was left with no option but to carry on.
On the burial day, everyone who knew him asked after him from his wife but she kept telling them âheâs on his way, his car broke down on the roadâ.
Unfortunately, he never showed up.
The night of the burial, his wife was overwhelmed with emotions and broke into tears.đđđ
However, one of his sister in-law saw her sister crying and she tried to calm her down.
His wife confided in her sister and her sister advised her to put herself together and warned her not to fight her husband when she return back to Lagos.
Rather, she should find out why her husband couldnât make it to the burial.
The next day after the burial, his wife returned back to Lagos against her initial plan because she was worried that her husband didnât reach out and he isnât reachable.đ©
When she got home, she reached out for her house key and opened the door.
When she opened the door she almost had an heart attack because their sitting room was empty.đđł
At first, she couldnât believe her eyes and thought it was a dream.
She edropped her bags and rushed to the room.
When she got to the room, she saw few things like bed, wardrobe and side bed fridge.
She tried calling her husband repeatedly but she couldnât get through.
Then she stepped out of their room to meet other neighbors and find out if they suspect anything.
Fortunately for her, her Landlady just came out to the balcony to receive fresh air.
She greeted her landlady and said to her.
My neighborâs wife: Mummy, good evening Ma.
Landlady: Good evening oo. How was your trip?.
Neighborâs wife: It was fine Ma. Mummy please I got home now and I met our apartment empty. Did you by any chance see or suspect anything?.
Landlady: Ha, I thought you were aware.
Neighborâs wife: No ma, I am not aware of anything. What happened?.
Landlady: We saw your husband with a bus about two days ago and was moving chairs, TV and some other loads from your apartment.
Neighborâs wife: Wow. Wow.đź
Then she thanked her landlady and went back to their apartment.
She was sad, heartbroken and angry but kept calm.đ
The next day, after several call to her husband with no response she went to her father in-law house.
When she got there, she explained to her husband parent what happened before she left for her motherâs burial and what she saw when she got back home. But unfortunately they donât seem surprised.đł
After narrating her ordeal with her husband to his parents the father said to her.
Husband mother: Yes, we are aware that he packed out of the house. Youâre no longer our wife. Heâs with another woman man now and thatâs the person we recognize as our wife.đ
Neighborâs wife: How long have you known and planing this?.
Husband father: Since the day you served him a divorce letter.
Neighborâs wife: I did that to put him in check when he doesnât take care of me and the kids and you know too well that I donât mean it.đ
Secondly, you make the matter worse when you came for my second baby Omugwo and you slapped me because you feel I didnât carry the baby well.
Same thing your daughter did the other day when I tried explaining myself to you why my baby was crying so much. She slapped me and accused me of talking back at you.
I did that to put him in check and man up.
Husband parents: We have nothing to say to you again. He has made his decision and thatâs the final.
She wept profusely and left there helplessly.đ
When she got home, she cried her eyes out and reach out to few of her husbandâs friend and some neighbors to talk to her husband on her behalf to come back home.
Some of the husbandâs friend reached out to him but he told them to forget it that thereâs no way there.
The wife engaged their pastor but no solution.
He kept pushing and toss around anyone that call him concerning the matter.
So the wife moved on and faced her business so she could fend for herself and the kids.
Two monthâs later, their house rent got expired and she doesnât have the full payment.đ
Fortunately for her, I saw her on my way home from work and we greeted each other.
After we exchanged greetings, she said to me.
Neighborâs wife: Please sir. I donât know if itâs convenient for you now to discuss something with you.
Me: Thatâs not a problem.
Neighborâs wife: Sir, I need your assistance. My rent has expired and I donât have full payment.
Me: Oh, sorry to hear that. How much is left to complete the payment?.
Neighborâs wife: XYZ amount.
Me: Give me till tomorrow morning.
Neighborâs wife: Thank you sir.đ
Me: Letâs give thanks to God for provision.đ€
So the next morning, I gave her the balance and ask about her husband.
Me: Madam, I have not been seeing your husband around for some time now. Is he ok?.
Then she narrates the whole story to me.
I asked for her husband number to talk to him as man to man. Then she gave me.đ
Later that night, I reached out to her husband and introduced myself to him and he was happy to hear from me. I told him to let go of whatever itâs that transpired between him and his wife and think about old age and their childrenâs future.đ
I made him understand that the divorce papers his wife served him was a mistake and a moment of anger and she doesnât mean it.
I made him realize that his wife did that because she expected him to defend her and protect her when his family maltreated her.đ
I told him to come back home to his family and take care of them because they are the only family he has.
I told him that his wife will be his best friend on the days of âadversityâ and he should âtreat him wellâ when he can.
I made him understand that she only want protection and fair treatment from him, but he seem not to buy my story.đ©
Then he said to me.
My neighbor: Mr OLUMIDE, thank you for all you have said but leave that woman for now. I want to teach her a lesson. I will still consider her but she must learn a lesson.
Me: Ok sir. Goodnight.
So about two months ago, her husband and his family traveled to their village in Oyo town for a family function. On their way back to Lagos they had an accident and it was terrible.
Her husband parent lost their lives instantly but her husband survived the accident with a terrible injury.
The hospital the husband and other survivals were admitted reached out to their family members and the side chick showed up for my neighbor.
After three days at the hospital spending money with no improvement the side chick abandoned him and never showed up again.đ
The hospital bills keeps piling up and thereâs nobody coming to check him.
So the hospital management explained to him that they would have to stop his treatment except he clears his bill.
They asked him who they can call from his family to pick him up and look after him as theyâre about to discharge him, with tears running down his cheeks he said to them âthe mother of my childrenâ.đ
The hospital reached out to his wife and she was there in no time and sheâs been taking care of him since then till date.
Two weeks ago, I paid them a visit. When it was time for me to leave he said to me, âhelp me thank my wife, sheâs being really helpful to me since this incident happenedâ.
You were right about what you said the other day that âmy wife is my best friend on the days of adversityâ.
I applauded the wife and left afterwards.đ€
To the men who humiliate and treat their woman badly, repent because of old age and days like this.đ
Because if you donât, you may be stranded at the moment you needed help the most in your life.
Secondly, side chick will not be there for you when the chips are down.đ
Your parents who advise you to leave your wife to be with another woman may not be around or available to look after you.đ
And you may not be so lucky to have a woman like my neighbor.đ
Your wife and children are all you have, take care of them when you can.đ
Because the way you treat them today when you are âstrongâ is the way they will look after you when you are âweakâ.
