We pause to acknowledge Godâs help and faithfulness. We are here not by strength or wisdom of our own, but because the Lord has carried us through.
Lord, we thank You for the gift of life and preservation. Truly, âit is of the Lordâs mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not; they are new every morningâ (Lamentations 3:22â23).
Many things tried to overwhelm us, yet Your mercy sustained us, and Your faithfulness never failed.
We are grateful for Your benevolence toward us for protection we didnât see, provision we didnât deserve, and grace that met us in our weakest moments. Like the psalmist, we say, âBless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefitsâ (Psalm 103:2), because every good thing we have is a result of Your kindness.
As we look at our lives today, we boldly declare that âthis is the Lordâs doing, and it is marvellous in our eyesâ (Psalm 118:23) Through every season, You have proven Yourself faithful, and our hearts are filled with gratitude.
So we enter this new year with thanksgiving, trusting You completely, because Your Word reminds us to âgive thanks in everything, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning usâ (1 Thessalonians 5:18). All glory, honour, and praise belong to You alone, Father.
Happy New Year 2026đ
