One of the lessons I like to add in the trending lessons learned from the AFCON finals is that Nigeria through the skipper Victor Osimen scored the second goal and was very busy celebrating it with his team mates while the VAR room was busy drawing the attention of the centre referee to an earlier fowl in the 18 yard box of his team which led to the cancellation of the second and highly celebrated goal and a penalty was awarded to their South Africa opponents and a goal was scored against them instead.

Lesson; when you think you are standing be careful lest you fall. In other words, always pray against failure at the edge of breakthrough.
