It’s funny how life connects the dots.
A dress, a neighbor, and a happy client all in one story!

A client was referred to me by a friend who lives in another part of Yenagoa. My friend had kindly helped me take her measurements, and I got to work on her dress.

When the dress was ready, it was time for her fitting ,so I called to give her directions to my place.

Me: "You’ll come to Ebisam in Akenfa."
Her: "Which Ebisam?"
Me: "The one in Akenfa."
Her: "I'm already at Ebisam."
Me: "Alright, then just come behind Upnext Supermarket."
Her: "Ha! Upnext ke? I’m already at Upnext."
Me: "Okay, hold on — I’m coming there now."

I quickly went to meet her, and guess what? It turned out she lives inside Upnext Supermarket, and I live right behind it! We were practically neighbors all along, yet we’d never crossed paths until this dress brought us together.

She tried on her dress, and it fit perfectly — she absolutely loved it.

Moral of the story: When you focus on being really good at what you do, your name will travel to places your feet haven’t reached yet. Let your work introduce you, even before you walk into the room!

I recently had the pleasure of creating this custom dress for a stunning plus-size client with a fuller bust. As designers know, catering to curvier figures with larger busts can be a challenge!

But, I'm thrilled to say that we nailed it! With only one fitting, we delivered a dress that made our beautiful client feel confident, comfortable, and absolutely gorgeous!

It's moments like these that remind me why I love being a designer – creating clothes that help women to feel their best selves!
