Next week we will say goodbye to our shop & atelier in the Bilderdijkstraat, a memorable part of the New Optimist history.

This is your chance to shop previous collections pieces that did not pass the strict quality check made by our talented Ferhan, but are still looking great, and also unique samples we have made with love in our atelier in the heart of Amsterdam. There are definitely hidden gems, so don’t be late!

YES! We are ready for the next step and very exited to tell you we’re moving to a bigger space. Not in Asia or some industrial area, but right in the heart of Amsterdam. 🙌🏼
Here we’ll open the doors of the NO-Kledingfabriek, were we’ll accelerate our local, social and sustainable mission. Rattling sewing machines, rolled out fabrics in a creative melting pot with our talented makers. 💚

The New Optimist has developed, tested and put into practice a new and hyper-local production chain for the past 2 years. Our principles on how fashion should be made stand straight: Social, local & circular. We have proven that fashion can do without the old industry and within the limits of our planet.
Change is here, and you are part of it! Join us into a new fashion era.

Our shop is closed after this weekend, but our sample sale is coming up!
Stay tuned: we will open the doors of the NO-Kledingfabriek on March 23, and will celebrate with a grand opening.

The most feminine sweater in our family. Tailored with a cropped cut to emphasise the contours of your body. You can either fold back the sleeves, add some statement jewellery, or unfold them to wear it oversized. The applications are made from fabric scraps. Crafted from the finest recycled and organic cotton blend.

The members of our social atelier have contributed to every piece of clothing in our studio in Zaandam for the last 18 months.

With a little help and guidance, or room for their own pace, they have really done a lot of meaningful work!
