Vorige week heb ik een grote groep vierdejaars studenten van de HKU in Utrecht bijgestaan ter voorbereiding van hun eindexamen projekt. Belangrijk was de vraag wanneer een beeld mode is of niet en de student na te laten denken over hun positionering in de mode en communicatie van hun werk.

Today i will be jury member. 62 fashion talents will show their best side on the catwalk at the Lichthal of the Tropenmuseum. They will share their perspective on fashion then and now. It will be a battle between 10 teams and 4 disciplines: Design, Hair, Make-up and Modeling. Tickets are still available at the entrance! See you soon!

Vandaag was ik als professional uitgenodigd om bij Lichting 2016 - Meet the Press de nieuwe lichting ontwerpers te ontmoeten.

Deze workshop vond vandaag plaats voor alle genomineerde graduate modestudenten die deelnemen aan de wedstrijd. Tijdens de workshop presenteren zij hun werk in 1-op-1 speeddates aan de Nederlandse modepers.

Op donderdag 7 juli, tijdens de openingsavond van FashionWeek Amsterdam, vindt de 10e jubileum editie van Lichting plaats.

Lichting is dé mode-industrie prijs die sinds 2007 elk jaar uitgereikt wordt aan de meest veelbelovende fashion graduate van Nederland. Het concept is simpel: de grootste talenten van de zeven Nederlandse modeacademies staan samen in één centrale catwalk show om zich te presenteren aan de kritische modepers en industrie. Lichting is een initiatief van Fashion Week Nederland, HTNK fashion recruitment & consultancy in samenwerking met Mercedes-Benz en Het Nieuwe Instituut.
