Some finds from the IJ-Hallen () on Saturday!

On Saturday, Vintage Kadijk was in Düsseldorf, Germany! We visited the flea markets at Aachener Platz and Schützenplatz Benrath, and the indoor Markthallen Hallenflohmarkt at Im Dahlacker 70. We brought home several vintage treasures, among which a Murano glass rabbit figurine, a large burl wood box and a set of old prints featuring German city landscapes 🇩🇪

Japan is full of treasures. When we came across these lacquerware bowls and tray featuring a dragonfly, we just couldn’t resist. Not our usual price range, but sometimes it’s okay to splash out and treat yourself!

Yesterday, Vintage Kadijk was at the Toji Temple Market that is held in Kyoto on the 21st of every month. It was a wonderful experience: so many stalls with vintage, antiques, food and handicrafts. We managed to purchase second-hand bowls for the game of go with slate and shell stones for an amazing price, and found some other little treasures like a wooden box in the shape of a pumpkin. If you like flea markets and are planning to visit Japan, this should definitely be on your list!
