An editorial publication accompanies C.P. Company’s new exhibition “996-026. Memories of Italian sportswear in South Korea”.

The volume collects thirty portraits of South Korea’s creative community figures across cinema, music, art, and fashion.

Following the approach of the brand’s 50th anniversary book in 2021, each story centres on a person’s connection to C.P. Company and the memories tied to it. Every page tells a story across generations, where a pocket, a hood, or the way a colour changes with use reveals something about the person who wore the garment.

The publication is available exclusively at the C.P. Company flagship store in Seoul (1F, 18-2 Dosan-daero 45-gil, Gangnam-gu) for the exhibition’s attendees.

Exhibition “996-026. Memories of Italian sportswear in South Korea”

C.P. Company celebrates three decades in South Korea with the new exhibition “996-026. Memories of Italian sportswear in South Korea”, on view from 21st to 23rd October at the brand’s Seoul flagship store.

The project explores the journey of C.P. Company in South Korea alongside its long-standing partner, GF Fashion.

In the first part, the exhibition retraces the history of C.P. Company from 1971 to 1995, with a recreation of Massimo Osti’s iconic workspace, four pieces from the archive, and a Massimo Osti Studio pop-up.

The second part, from 1996 to 2026, showcases the garments worn by members of South Korea’s creative community alongside their portraits, with each piece displayed in C.P. Company’s signature transparent cases. The photographic portraits are gathered in a dedicated editorial publication, available only to exhibition attendees.

Produced in limited quantities, the Explorer Jacket in Aramid Type-C reimagines the functional aesthetic of a C.P. Company icon.

Inspired by high-performance industrial fabrics, the jacket is crafted from a lightweight aramid fibre base with a distressed polyurethane film overlay, highly resistant to heat and tensile stress.

The fibre’s natural yellow cannot be dyed and remains untouched on the inside, creating a unique contrast with the green-coated outer face.

The latest fabric engineered by C.P. Company is built on aramid fibre, one of the most resistant materials in the world.

Applied to the iconic Explorer Jacket, the fibre offers advanced protective properties: tear-resistant, heat-resistant, and able to withstand mechanical stress.

As its natural yellow cannot be altered, the fibre is bonded with a distressed polyurethane coating that transforms its surface and brings colours that would otherwise be impossible to achieve.

The new CS II bomber jacket explores the interplay of innovative materials, colour, and functional construction.

A ready-for-dye transparent polyurethane film is applied to a nylon base, with contrast inserts in Flatt Nylon and dye-resistant seams for a light-dark effect across the surface.

Through garment dyeing, each piece develops unique colour shades that evolve with time and wear, while a brushed charmeuse lining completes the structure.

The new Fall/Winter 026 overshirts are defined by treatments that transform their surfaces and textures.

One style, crafted from compact plain cotton with a resin finish on the exterior, is garment dyed to create an irregular chromatic effect. The resin partially resists the dye, giving each piece a unique, worn-in appearance.

Alongside it, Re-Colour overshirts combine garment dyeing and pigment overdyeing to achieve dusty, nuanced tones and a distinctive faded finish.

One of C.P. Company’s signature garments, the overshirt, is reinterpreted in Flatt Nylon and Panama-R with the Re-Colour treatment.

The overshirt is first dyed with a special acid dye for nylon, then overdyed with pigment that settles unevenly on the surface, creating a unique, powdery shadow effect. The garments retain their functional structure, with buttoned chest pockets and concealed two-way zip closures.
