For the days when a blazer feels like too much, but a shirt isn’t quite enough.

The Traveller Jacket was designed for exactly that space.

Developed with input from tailors on Savile Row, it combines the ease of an overshirt with more shape and presence, something you can wear over a T-shirt, pair with tailored trousers, or travel with when you want to remain comfortable without feeling underdressed.

At The Hand, we’ve selected four interpretations in cashmere, wool jersey, linen, and an open-weave fresco. Different fabrics, same idea: a comfortable jacket designed to be worn often.

An umbrella made the slow way.

In the Francesco Maglia workshop in Milan, umbrellas are still made by hand, one at a time — continuing a family tradition that has passed through six generations.

Wood is shaped and polished. Canopies are carefully constructed and fitted. Each component comes together to create something balanced in the hand and made for years of everyday use.

It’s a level of attention usually associated with more precious objects. Francesco Maglia applies it to something wonderfully practical: an umbrella.

And perhaps that is what makes the craftsmanship so special. These are not objects designed to be replaced after a season. They are made to be used, cared for, and repaired.

Not every Made-to-Order commission begins with a shoe.

Sometimes, it begins with a change in lifestyle.

This Saint Crispin's Model Special was created for a client whose wardrobe evolved from classic tailoring to a more relaxed way of dressing. The result is a one-of-a-kind derby ankle boot, designed around the way he lives today.

The detail that changes everything? The ghillie lacing system. It gives the boot a softer, more casual character, while the lightweight Vibram Gumlite sole makes it as comfortable as it is versatile.

That's what Made-to-Order means to us. Not creating something different for the sake of it—but creating something that feels completely right for the person wearing it.

Through the art of patina, depth, nuance, and character gradually emerge from the leather — creating a finish that can completely change the personality of a shoe.
