The Memento Moooi Medley pattern debuted at Salone del Mobile 2022 in Milan, showcased in Moooi’s showroom alongside the Memento Moooi wallcovering collection, designed in collaboration with Belgian wallpaper specialist Arte. The Medley was prominently featured on showroom surfaces, including wall-to-wall broadloom by Moooi Carpets.

Still so happy and proud to have been part of this collection, bringing Moooi’s vision of whimsical little creatures to life!

Memento Moooi Medley is one of the signature artworks we created for the Memento Moooi wallcovering collection, launched in 2022 by Moooi. The pattern was later adapted across various company products, from carpets and broadlooms to stationery, gift items, animations, and web assets.

Today, the animals depicted in the design's dreamy landscape continue their celestial life among soft clouds and multi-layered plants.

Milano Design weeks, being the biggest international annual design event of the world, is the most important occasion to showcase novelties. In addition to seeing great design, it is also the place to meet current and former colleagues, clients, and have some fun – especially meaningful for me, as I live in Helsinki and mostly work and meet my business partners online.

Another highlight of Salone is finally seeing the results of the past year's hard work come together. In this image from last April at the Moooi Showroom, I'm sitting as a happy girl, seeing the entire collection ready and installed for the first time. These rewarding moments are to be cherished!

The printing mold of Lace Longlegs, or Lace Spider as it was called during the work-in-progress phase, was modeled with Cinema4D. It was then pressed onto the base material and finally covered with bouclé textile. 3D modeling allowed us to control the high and low parts of the pattern elements, and the bouclé fabric finalized the soft, rounded surface.
Modeling something directly for production purposes was a real learning process for me in terms of mastering technique, time and artistic balance.�
