Sophisti Sophisti is a Connected Product Design and Development agency Sophisti is a connected product design studio.

We connect digital media and physical objects, by combining skills from industrial, game and interaction design, software and electronics development. We develop the form and technology from prototype to product. Studio Sophisti works for clients, but also on own ideas. The biggest drive is always curiosity, which is why we work exploratively without losing focus on the everyday of end users. Many

of our products and services are in the end about the interaction between people. For example multi-touch tables for multiple users to interact with, an energy awareness meter for OXXIO, an iOS App for Booking.com or the set communicating lamps Ping which won a Core77 Design Award. A recent invention and design is GameChanger the multiplayer game board for iPad, winner of the Game of The Year Award 2012 by Creative Toy Award. Our latest product is Verzis a multi-player Game Controller launched at CES 2013!

We are proud to share Ling; a Smartcard designed and prototyped for LIGNA Energy. Each bendable card contains the 2S sustainable supercapacitor charged with NFC. Three minute charge powers a Bluetooth Smart Sensor and a display for 2 days. Reach out for more information or look below!

What is a better way to teach kids about Money? POKI is a product solution Sophisti developed internally. It is in line with how adults deal with money but preserves it as a social and tangible ritual between parent and kids. We hope to find a partner to develop this further and bring it to kids between 5 tot 10 years old. For now it deserves a nice spot in Sophisti's portfolio!

5 months ago Publicis and HEINEKEN approached us for the Industrial Design, Electronic Design, Firmware and series manufacturing of 'The Closer'. And what a wild ride it has been to work out Le Pub's great solution (balance work and life by opening a Heineken) into a well working high-end finished product. While we have been focussed on design decisions, software integration, scaling production admits component shortages and lockdowns, the larger team at The HEINEKEN Company and Le Pub created this fun and very good looking campaign which has just launched today. Thanks to the whole team at Sophisti and our partners for the great production!

Sophisti Products is working on the future of Pocket Money. We believe that even in a digital and contactless world kids should learn how to get, save, give and spend money. And we believe they should learn this in a physical and social way. Sophisti has laid the ground-work with a proof of concept and a patent filing but now we are looking for partners to develop and launch! Our next steps require knowledge in fin-tech, access to the market (families with young kids) and funding for design and research. Do you have ideas for such partnership? Sophisti is a connected product design studio. In our work we connect physical objects and digital media by combining skills from industrial and interaction design, software and electronics development. We design and develop from idea to prototype to product. Sophisti works for big clients like Philips, LEGO, Heineken and NXP, but also for startups like Minibrew, Ikawa and Styleshoots. For these clients we have designed and developed app enhanced products like a coffee roaster, a beer-brewing machine and a fashion photography studio.

We develop our own ideas as well which have been featured in numerous media-outlets For example Gamechanger an interactive game board bringing millennial families around the table or Ping (winner of Core77 Award) bridging distances between loved ones with a bed lamp. A recent example is Ding a set of blocks to enhance interactivity and electronics in creative sessions.

Sophisti was founded in 2007 and is based in downtown Amsterdam where we currently work with a team of 6 designers and developers. If you wish to join us at our studio or would like to know what we can do for you please let us know.
