๐ช๐บ Apparently I have a new business modelโฆ ๐
The EU wants less waste.
Great. Me too!
But apparently, if I want to sell and ship to customers in different EU countries, I may need to pay hundreds of euros per country for EPR registration and compliance.
For a tiny handmade business that might receive only a few orders from some countriesโฆ
Yeah.
That makes total sense. ๐
So Iโve come up with a solution:
You order a hoodie.
You send me a photo of you
I Photoshop the hoodie onto you.
๐ธโจ Congratulations!
Your hoodie has arrived.
๐ฅNo shipping.
๐ฅNo packaging.
๐ฅNo waste.
๐ฅ10/10 sustainability. ๐
Obviously, I'm being sarcastic.
I have ready-to-ship items, I make things to order my clothes are sustainable , and I already try to avoid unnecessary waste.
But if the rules make it financially impossible for a small business to ship a handful of orders to certain countriesโฆ
Then what exactly are we achieving?
Because the end result isn't less waste.
It's simply:
โSorry, I don't ship to your country anymore.โ
And THAT is what pi**es me off.
Iโm all for sustainability. ๐
Just donโt make sustainability so expensive that only the big companies can afford it.
Otherwiseโฆ
Photoshop it is. ๐
