Came across a "draw this in your style" challenge by of the cutest Christmas bear (swipe) and was inspired to make a Mippoos version! Little after Christmas (hope you all had great days if you celebrated), but just in the nick of time before the end of 2023 😉 So that makes 2 posts in a year, yay! 🤣 Best wishes for 2024 everyone! 🥰

Hello 👋 who else just wants to cuddle, in this cold and wet weather? And stay under those cosy blankets forever? It's been raining for ages in the Netherlands ☔️ the plus side of staying inside so much, is that I'm getting some time to draw.. so maybe I might post more than twice a year in 2024 😉

It's like sipping happiness with a sprinkle of Mippo magic! What's your ultimate coffee flavour? I'm a cappuccino girl (lactose free preferred) and mom likes her coffee with a "cloud" of milk. Not sure that translates well 😅 what's yours? 🌟✨🦛☕️

Hellooo? You guys still out there? Mippoos turns 10 years old today! 😱🎉 Unbelievable how fast time goes. It's been 2 years since our last post on social media, oops. So much has happened in our personal lives, both ups and downs. The highest ups and lowest down, you ask? Well, for the lowest point: mom was diagnosed with breast cancer early 2021.. fortunately treatment went really well and she's now cancer-free! ♥ And while mom was undergoing treatment, she also found out she was going to be a grandmother for the first time - I fell pregnant the month after her diagnosis. 🤰 And in february 2022 my daughter Voske was born! 🐣
And now it's March 2023... and we're still around with lots of ideas for Mippoos, but no longer making any promises on when new things will come. Our shop has re-opened silently in the last months with a few print-on-demand items* with my illustrations. If you have any ideas for cute illustrated goods, let me know! We still want to finalise the sewing pattern for the Mippoos at some point in the future. But for now our focus will be on sharing the occasional new adventure (illustration). Let us know if you're still out there 😘

Happy Easter! Are you celebrating? And if yes, how? Mom came over yesterday and we put my big screen on the dinner table and had a virtual Easter lunch with my brother and his girlfriend. It's been 1.5 years since he moved to Finland! We did Christmas dinner the same way and we were so hopeful that Easter could be the moment we'd meet again in real life. Maybe next Christmas...? 🤷‍♀️ Also, mom and I have been quiet on social media but we've made a few fun custom Mippoos behind the scenes. This custom Easter bunny outfit was one of them! 😄

Party time! 🎂🎉 Mippoos turns 8 today! But wait, how are you supposed to blow out a candle like this...? 🤔 Anyhow, we just wanted to let all of you know that, although mom and I have been very quiet on social media, Mippoland is still very much alive and full of adventures! 🦛 But.. why so quiet? We figured we owe you lovely lot a bit of explanation. Short version: sometimes life just happens and focus (temporarily) switches. Mostly for good reasons, such as mom having found a new job and now working even after retirement age (because she can and wants to, not because she has to! So yay 🎉). But her job takes most of her energy, and leaves little room for Mippoos right now. As for me, a lot of energy went into renovating our house. We redid the whole living room and kitchen, just my boyfriend and I without much help - because, well.. covid (but we did it! 💪). Also, my daytime job is great but can be very demanding at times. But, overall mom and I are fine, our health is good and there's still good in the world. Like our Mippoos! We are definitely not giving up on them, and are still -slowly- making progress on the sewing pattern. I'd love to create some more drawings again, with Spring I can feel a bit more energy and positivity that I really want to spend on being creative again. Sooo, if you're still reading, thank you for still being with us on our Mippoos journey; your support means the world to us! We hope everyone is doing OK in these crazy times, but please tell us if you can use a Mippo or two in your feed to cheer you up. Let us know what Mippo adventure would make you smile, and help us channel our creative energy again! Anything for a smile in these crazy days and in this crazy world! Hi everyone! 👋 Mom and I could really use your help. In our previous post we announced we are working on a sewing pattern, so hopefully soon everyone can make their own Mippo! To get to the perfect pattern, we are looking for some help on testing. Is there anyone that would like be the first to test the Mippo sewing pattern? Preferably someone with pattern testing experience. To give us some pointers for improvement in instructions (and perhaps also in grammar/vocab, since English is not our first language). The pattern is probably for an intermediate level, although we want to make the instructions as clear as possible so that also people with less sewing experience can make a Mippo! Please let us know if you're interested in testing, even if you don't have a lot of experience. Depending on interest we'll probably pick one or two testers.🧵✂️ This Mippo thanks you for your attention. 😉

Hello lovely Mippo friends! ❤ As you’ll probably have noticed mom and I have been really quiet on here and not much new has happened in Mippoland. But we have some exciting news! At least, we hope you’ll think it’s exciting too. We can't tell you everything yet, but we are definitely working on something new. This seamstress Mippo is a hint of what we’re making. My illustrations are normally watercolours which I then scan and clean a little. This is a digital drawing on a mug mockup instead, what do guys think about it? Would adding digital drawings to our shop take away from the uniqueness of watercolour? 🤔 @ Culemborg
