Langs kunst, kleur en vorm
Twee keer per jaar stap ik op mijn vouwfiets en trek ik er een week op uit voor een inspiratiereis door Nederland. De laatste week van maart was het weer zover.
Het werd een week vol kunst, kleur, vorm en nieuwe indrukken. Ik bezocht prachtige musea, dwaalde langs tentoonstellingen en nam onderweg alles in me op wat mij raakt en inspireert. Voor de langere afstanden pakte ik de trein, en daartussen fietste ik heerlijk van plek naar plek.
Het weer werkte niet echt mee. Koud, veel wind en regelmatig flinke regenbuien. Maar op de een of andere manier had ik geluk: vaak was ik nét binnen als er een bui losbarstte, en juist als ik buiten op de fiets zat, liet de zon zich weer even zien. Typisch Nederlands weer dus.
Wat mij het meest bij bleef van mijn inspiratiereis?
Niet alleen de grote kunstwerken, maar juist de details. Kleine fragmenten die blijven hangen. In dit filmpje heb ik deze details verzameld en op kleur gerangschikt.

A Journey Through Art, Colour and Form
Twice a year, I take my folding bike and head off for a week-long inspiration trip through the Netherlands. The last week of March, it was time once again.
It turned into a week full of art, colour, form, and new impressions. I visited beautiful museums, wandered through exhibitions, and absorbed everything along the way that moves and inspires me. For the longer distances, I took the train, and in between, I happily cycled from place to place.
The weather was not exactly on my side. Cold, windy, and with frequent heavy rain showers. But somehow, I was lucky: more often than not, I had just arrived indoors when the rain started pouring, and whenever I was out cycling, the sun often decided to appear again. Typical Dutch weather.
What stayed with me most from my inspiration trip?
Not only the large artworks, but especially the details. In this video, I gathered those details and arranged them by colour.
