Ten years ago I designed my very first chicken quilt… 🐔

Back in 2016, All Hen on Board was born. Looking back, I still love its charm, but over the years my appliqué style evolved, my designs became more detailed, and every character started telling its own story.

Pecking Order isn’t a replacement—it’s the next chapter in that journey.

It’s amazing how one little idea can grow into something completely new almost ten years later. ❤️

Sometimes inspiration isn’t found in a museum or mood board.

Sometimes it’s waiting in a bucket of faded bougainvillea flowers after pruning the garden.

Those weathered colours, soft textures and sun-faded petals are quietly finding their way into my next fabric collection 🥰

As a designer, I’ve always been fascinated by what happens behind the scenes of printed fabrics.. So this week, I visited FESPA in Barcelona. Massive textile printers. Endless fabric possibilities. Color, texture, technology and innovation. Seeing the scale of it all in real life was incredibly inspiring and honestly a little overwhelming in the best possible way.
A lot of new ideas started forming this week..

This is my summer wardrobe.

Fresh off the line,
but not quite ready yet.

These are designs I had printed just for me.
Soft jersey, full of color… waiting to become something wearable.

Sometimes the best pieces start like this.
A little idea.
A bit of fabric.
And a pile of plans I haven’t made time for yet.

Sometimes you just have to look up.

It’s the light that caught me first.
That soft shimmer… almost like it’s moving.
The tiny pieces, the stitching, and those little sparkles hidden in between…
It’s one of those quilts you keep noticing something new in.

They said: paint the eggs…
But who decided eggs can’t be quilts anyway?
A few stitches, a little color, and suddenly it turned into something completely different.
Honestly… I think I like it better this way.
