Christmas, through these eyes ✨

This season reminds me why I create the way I do. Watching my oldest sit quietly in front of the tree, completely absorbed by the lights (and the presents), feels like a soft reminder to slow down and enjoy this season. Both the Christmas season and the season of life.

These magical moments give the inspiration I need, for life, and for everything I create at Fransje Sophie.

My most beautiful collection so far: my family 🤍

It’s been a little quiet here, not because I wanted to, but because I had to admit to myself that it’s okay to press pause. Stepping back from my label hasn’t been easy, but sometimes you have to follow where life takes you. My biggest goal right now? Being present with my three little ones and soaking it all in.

This isn’t goodbye, just taking a little time to slow down and focus on what truly matters.

Mid June our backyard turned into something magical ✨

Friends came over for a night at the Jekermolen. With tents in the garden, long table for dinner, swims in the Jeker river, dances in the (pouring) rain, espresso martinis at the camp fire.

These days there are more kids than adults running around (and we wouldn’t have it any other way).

There’s something beautiful about having people you love in a space you’ve made your own. Good friends, good food, and timeless clothing that go with the flow and every moment of real life.

Plot twist!! Or as some might say these days -holy airball; this isn’t the south of France. 🇫🇷 🥐

This charming little alley is literally outside our front door in Maastricht. Sometimes the most beautiful spots are right in front of you.

Wearing pieces that feel as timeless as these limestone buildings. Some things never go out of style, whether it’s centuries-old architecture or well-made clothing. 🤍😊

Quality lasts. Beauty is everywhere. Both in our surroundings and our wardrobes.

Quick weekend in Düsseldorf with good company. 👌

Chagall exhibition ✓ Beautiful old palace with excellent cake ✓ Walking through a city that’s completely different from home ✓

Düsseldorf has this interesting mix—luxury shopping streets filled with people carrying multiple designer items, right next to neighborhoods with real social challenges. Seeing such extremes in one city made me think on how we spend our money and what we truly value.

In fashion, what does luxury really mean? Is it the price tag or the story behind it?

Real luxury, to me, is knowing exactly where your clothes come from. Who made them. What materials were chosen and why…

Luxury shouldn’t be about showing off, in my opinion it should be about our values and who we are.

Saturday 🤍 Getting dressed without overthinking it.

This Palmyra blouse from the Index Collection is one of those versatile pieces that just works. Sustainable and quality fabric, minimalist design, timeless fit. Perfect for weekend errands or catching up with friends.

I don’t believe in ‘weekend clothes’ versus ‘real clothes.’ Good design works every day. But I need to admit, as a mom of three little ones, I’ve definitely learned to choose black over white more often these days. Sticky fingers and white fabrics are not the best match 😳

What’s the oldest piece of clothing in your wardrobe that you still adore wearing?

Mine is a simple Breton stripe shirt I’ve treasured for over 10 years (from H&M! 🫣). Yes, I’m advocating slow fashion while admitting this. But here’s the thing—I bought it before I knew better, before I grew a fashion conscience, and by caring for it all these years, I’ve transformed a fast fashion piece into something lasting.

Care for your clothes like they’re friends. Treat them with love.

I’m still shocked that the average garment is worn just five times. FIVE! This fact is why I do what I do.
