Remembering when I was 5 years old in 1980 and my little twin brothers were born. I remember that in Zimbabwe a child could go to school when they were 5 years old. I had to wait a bit because when my mother gave birth to my twin brothers she had to visit hospital often because of check ups.
Because she had no other means of bringing the children from A to B. I was the next person to help her carry my little brother.
This is the moment when I intensively learned how to carry and care for siblings. It was a logical decision my mother made. She could have chosen to bring a niece from the village, or higher a babysitter. My father worked and my mom earned money with her sewing machine then, so she could afford to pay someone in order for me to go to school.

But instead she decided to practice homeschooling with me, this is the moment I experienced responsibility of my sense of feeling and care.
At a young age I knew now how to take care of baby by watching closely what my mother did and by practicing some of the things.
On the right side you see my daughters who are carrying each other in Mbereko.
