Now I have started taking it more seriously and I will keep on trying to get to the next level. I love making and designing clothing and costumes, from the moment my pencil touches paper until I have cut the last thread. The back of my Elfia dress! It's an 18th century Robe a la Francaise, and the pleats in the back are called Watteau-pleats. Picture was taken by a dear friend of mine whom I can't seem to tag.

I finished my first client commission! I had fun picking the fabrics and making this, and I actually learned more than I thought! I want to make more of these since they're great for practicing techniques and fun to make. Does anyone have a suggestion for a name for this design?

I've been quite busy with doing this adulting-thing past few weeks, so I haven't really had a lot of time to sew. I finished the second petticoat today! The mannequin is wearing the pocket hoops, first (drastically shortened) petticoat and over that the second petticoat. This petticoat might not be really historically accurate, but it looks the part and definitely does the job.

I made this gown today as a last minute costume. It still needs a lot of beading until it's done for Elfia this Saturday (I decided I wanted to go today, in a new costume😅), but it turned out better than I thought! Who will I see there?
