Part of the Fermenterij VanDam Henricus identity are these commemorative illustrations. Feeding a nice textured uncoated paper, that is totally not made for laser printing, through my poor black & white Brother printer results in some very nice 'ink chipping'. Each piece is finished of by glueing it to sturdy cardboard, add some hand shading and a glassless matte black frame!

At the beginning of 2014 I had the honour to create an illustration for Dimitri Tokmetzis' article on the Correspondent. Covering the access the NSA has for years to dutch Data.

Today at 17:30 a one off custom framed art print measuring 103 x 54 cm (signed by both Dimitri and myself) will be auctioned off at the Correspondent's 'Festival of progress'. Exciting!

Vandaag debatteert de Tweede Kamer over de 1,8 miljoen metadata die door de Nederlandse inlichtingendiensten zijn verzameld. Maar het belangrijkste zal waarschijnlijk niet aan de orde komen: dat de Amerikanen al jaren probleemloos toegang hebben tot de grote Nederlandse netwerken.

Yesterday I celebrated my 10 year anniversary at Momkai. 10 years that feel like they have flown by and I can’t really grasp the daily fulfilment and joy I still have at my job as a graphic designer at this wonderful agency. Harald and I made up the design team the majority of that time and together with my respected colleagues we worked on awesome projects and of course we still do! I consider myself very lucky to work in an environment that is so respectful, challenging and where one feels really appreciated.

During our celebrations yesterday, Harald presented me with probably the biggest and most awesome gift ever; a trip to Tokyo together with my brother Rik. I can’t wait to add this fantastic memory to my personal Momkai story. Harald and Sebas, thanks for the incredible present and together with all my beloved colleagues at Momkai thank you guys so much for making my work awesome on a daily basis! On to the next 10!

Stopped by at Fox Gym today to hand over this little illustration. It started out as a bit of Wacom / Cintiq practice and because of that me meeting up with my good friends Maarten and Lisanne somehow felt like the 'What's the matter? The CIA got you pushing too many pencils?'-scene from Predator :D Best of luck guys!
