One Aruba tip that can save you money before you even unpack your suitcase 🌴💧

Don’t stock up on bottled water when you arrive.

Aruba’s tap water is safe to drink. And honestly, it tastes really good too! The island produces its drinking water from seawater, and you can refill your bottle straight from the tap.

So instead of buying those huge packs of bottled water at the supermarket:

💧 Bring a reusable bottle
💧 Fill it up at your hotel, Airbnb or vacation rental
💧 Keep it cold and take it to the beach

One less thing to buy, one less thing to carry… and a lot less plastic. 🤍

It’s one of those little Aruba things that first-time visitors are often surprised to learn.

Today I finished one of my favorite pages so far: Best Local Restaurants in Aruba.

Instead of focusing on the well-known tourist spots, this guide highlights the places where locals actually love to eat. From small snack bars and food trucks to Colombian bakeries, Surinamese restaurants, Chinese restaurants and Aruba's famous Sunday BBQ spots.

Building this website has been an incredible journey so far. Every page takes a lot more work than most people realize: researching, writing, fact-checking, editing photos and making sure the information is genuinely helpful for future visitors.

Seeing the website grow, receiving my first rental car inquiry this week, and watching more people discover the site every day is incredibly motivating.

🔥 Sundays in Aruba mean one thing... BBQ! 🇦🇼

One of our favorite local traditions? Sunday barbecues.

Drive around the island on a Sunday and before long you'll spot the smoke rising. Sometimes it's outside a rum shop, sometimes next to a neighborhood bar, and sometimes it's simply someone grilling in their own front yard.

Our favorite tip? Follow the locals. 😄

If there's a long line of Arubians waiting for barbecue... chances are you've found one of the best meals on the island.

Yes, Super Food gets busy... but honestly, I get it. 😂

I could easily spend an hour walking through the store. Fresh stroopwafels, amazing homemade salads, local favorites, Dutch snacks, incredible cheeses, BBQ goodies... and don't even get me started on the bakery. 🤤

If you're visiting Aruba, don't treat Super Food as "just a grocery store." It's an experience on its own.
