Textiles and fashion can be regarded as a visual language reflecting the spirit of the time, coupled to materials, craft and tradition. Finding a personal balance between textiles and fashion is essential. An important guideline for the Textiles and Fashion programme at the KABK is the history of historical costumes and folklore. Developing a personal style, a way of working and a personal statement in all of the facets of the textile and fashion profession is thoroughly explored.

Nikki Duijst mag zich de beste afgestudeerde modestudent van het jaar noemen. De alumna van de Koninklijke Academie van beeldende kunsten Den Haag (Kabk) heeft Lichting 2015 gewonnen. De prijs van de door V&D gesponsorde wedstrijd: 10.000 euro.

Article about our alumnus Bastian Visch (Textile and Fashion, 2014) in today's Volkskrant edition! He is the winner of the yearly 'Volkskrant Vakgenotenpoll'. Insiders from the fashionworld praise his talents! Our alumnus David Laport (Textile and Fashion, 2012) won the 3rd position. Congratulations David and Bastian!

Bastian Visch (103 punten) bedacht een originele techniek om plooien op stof te suggereren. Hij bezit genoeg eigenzinnigs en onaangepasts om een grote te worden in de mode, zeggen drie insiders in het wereldje.
