Stop polarizing, start colorizing!🎨

But seriously, stop polarizing.
Here is this week’s rant. We see it happen so much around us: people with a strong opinion that do not try to dismantle opposing opinions. Rather, they try to gain legitimacy by ridiculing and invalidating other opinions. How is that helpful? Sure, it might feel like a sweet victory. But the truth is that they are no where closer to realizing their goal, whatever it may be other than polarization. So, to whoever that needs to hear it we say the following.

You want people to actually agree with you and be on your side? Then please, respectfully listen to their views without any assumptions, and stop pretending the people that have different opinions than you are idiots. We highly recommend reading How to Win Friends and Influence People. A classic with timeless advice that is guaranteed to help you convince people of your beliefs.

So, instead of instantly reposting or posting that picture you could think: “will this post actually change minds, or just p**s people off?”

And if you’ve actually read this far...thank you, you wonderful person.

Polarization is happening everywhere which stops people from having a good talk about their opinions on important topics. Most often people will realize they do not differ as much in their opinions when they have a good talk about it.
