Black Friday. Or should we better say: Friday, November 24, 2023 is a black day? Because the discounts that come with this Friday come at a high price. The price nature pays for overconsumption.

Up to 100 billion garments are produced by the fashion industry every year. And each year, as much as 92 million tons of clothing ends up in landfills.

The Black Friday create a vicious circle that affects everyone. The makers, because production has to become cheaper and cheaper. The sellers, who hardly have any profit margins left. And above all the climate, which suffers from this urge for overconsumption.

As a small shop offering curated collections of lots of beautiful sustainable and fair labels, we support the Green Friday initiative. We do not want to discourage you to purchase new clothes, but we want to invite you to select your purchases consciously. To, instead of getting tempted to buy lots of discounted fast fashion items that eventually may likely end up in some corner of your cupboard, rather create an amazing capsule wardrobe with responsibly crafted favorites made out of gorgeous natural fibers that you will enjoy wearing time and time again.
