Roxy ’79 Vintage, opgericht door 3 jonge Amsterdamse ondernemers, is niet alleen ontstaan uit liefde voor- en kennis van vintage kleding, maar bovenal uit de behoefte het recyclen van kleding gangbaarder te maken en het ecologisch bewustzijn van mensen te vergroten. Let us explain a little: in Nederland wordt jaarlijks meer dan 200 miljoen kilo textiel weggegooid. Terwijl nieuwe kleding niet is aa
n te slepen om de honger van onze consumptiemaatschappij maar zo snel mogelijk te stillen. Waarom zouden we alles maar nieuw blijven kopen als er al zoveel moois gemaakt is? Waarom kiezen we niet allemaal voor een bewuster en duurzamer alternatief, waarbij je ook nog eens uniek bent, omdat het niet massaal geproduceerd is? En wij staan te popelen om jou te laten zien waarom dít nou zo leuk is. In Roxy ’79 Vintage, gelegen aan de Nachtegaalstraat 36 in Utrecht, zul je vintage kleding, schoenen, tassen, accessoires én sieraden tegenkomen. Van de jaren ’60 en ’70, waar de hippies de mode voor een groot deel bepaalden, tot de kleurrijke jaren ’80, en de eclectische funky jaren ’90. Alle items die je bij Roxy '79 vindt zijn zorgvuldig geselecteerd door ons. Roxy ’79 Vintage staat voor een nieuwe kijk op kleding. Een nieuwe aandacht voor wat al is. Een nieuwe plek voor authenticiteit én vernieuwing.
