The Rondinos trio played their very first concert ever in the on Sunday. They had a steep learning curve in this last month learning how to listen, interact, find meeting points and play beautiful music together. They played rondino by carse.

Two Alon skirts made custom order for a loved client.
This cotton velvet is dyed with oak leaves and small branches.
It takes a few days to have an order ready to ship. Some steps really need their time to yield the wanted results.
The leaves are left to soak and simmer for at least two days. In the meantime the pattern is drawn and cut and largely sewn in order to finish raw edges before starting the 'wet phase'. Then the wet fabric is added to the dyepot and left for quite some hours to one day to absord the wanted color. The longer the simmering the deeper the color and the colorfastness. But also not too long as the material is organic.
The skirts are then rinsed and finished in detail (pockets and seams, logo and elastic). Rinsed again, and steam ironed before shipping.
Nothing more satisfying then slow, pesonalized fashion to wear and live in.

Since we moved my kids have long school hours. When i pick them up I love to wait for them with full hands, of tiny surprises, anything just to let them know i think of them when they are away. So today i made two scrunchies. I believe that is the name of these hair accessories. I will definitely look up the origin of this word!
So scrunchies available from tomorrow in the shop.
An excellent way to finish some fabric scraps and make some space.
One of the criteria for LunaTLV towards sustainability is aspiring to zero waste! So far no fabric has been tossed in a few years of work! Isn't that an achievement?!

Yesterday my girl played her first violin concert. She was nervous but managed to hide it so elegantly. I was mainly in love with the way she continued and kept making music regardless the "mistakes". She wasn't flawless, but didn't interrupt the music and that is what i call perfect. I am discovering new facets of being a mom. Proud of my girl but mainly curious to discover a personality. She is playing her way in the world and showing me who she is becoming.

The reason I have been offline so long. We moved! And with the move so much had to be done. Pack your house, pack your business, say goodbyes and say hellos. Find a place, unpack, restart...

Finally the cargo has arrived and as LunaTLV I am ready to pick up from where I left.

Wow, time has escaped. Quite some naional events have flown down the river of time these weeks. But the main reason I have been silent here is that we are very busy packing the house for our move abroad this summer. About this in next posts. Today i am trying out new fabrics for the certified organic line of . After facemasks this is our second best selling item.
These are lighter weight then our traditional fabrics and either or certified. And for the , next one is for you! Stay tuned.
