A bit more SPECS:
- 100% merino wool, imported raw from Australia (the home of the Merino sheep) and yarnified and colored on the Norwegian West Coast in the yarn mill my mother always got her yarn from, long before we started this company.
- Merino elevates the moisture wicking abilities of wool (moving moisture away from your skin into its fibers, preventing that clammy cold feeling on a hike), because of its finer fibers. And it retains the bacteria killing effect which prevents smell.
- When time comes to wash it, it is max 30° celsius wool program, or hand-wash. Don’t use detergent unless it’s wool-specific. (Personally I just occasionally flush it out with warm water and let it air-dry.)
- Merino wool is softer than other wool, and tends to stay itch free for even the most sensitive scalp.
- We knit it with a pretty novel crosshatch stitch, which puts the look right in the sweet spot between finely embellished handiwork, and gritty raw usable apparel inspired by the countryside we grew up on.
- Its style is very flexible. We don’t put any logo or tags on our beanies (they are what they are, like when my mom knit for me in my childhood), and therefore it’s easy to fold it as you will, once, twice, roll it up, or whatever you can imagine.
- We do worldwide free shipping, 60-day returns, and have a 10 year warranty (covering you if it snaps under reasonable circumstances ((not if you let your dog eat it or something))).
