This ring feels like it could have been part of an old fairytale. One of those with old stone castles, evil kings and plots, bravery, friendship, everlasting love… and magic rings.

It is made of three separate old buttons.
The middle one is a shiny dark and rare mother of pearl button, crowned by a small even rarer button, that sets the tone and gets my imagination started.

So glad I joined the Christmas market in Nesttun today!
So much beautiful things being sold, lovely people and lots of time with good friends 💕!

Many rings and earrings found new homes and for that I’m so grateful!

I bought these nice old buttons in my hometown Borås, many years ago. They just waited to be found at and now they are ready for new life, as ring.

Most of the buttons I use to make my Button Bling rings are bought at thriftstores in Sweden or in Norway.

Here’s my most eager little buyer today and he finally managed to pick out one favourite “magic ring”, to bring home🤗💕.

It’s always a real challenge for me to expose myself and sell my rings on markets (and here🫣), but this little guy and many other costumers, reminded me about why I’m doing this;
The buttons ARE beautiful and they deserve another chance to be seen again😌.

I love rare old buttons and very much the ones made of mother of pearl (also called “Nacre”).

Mother of pearl is organic and made from the same material as pearls. It has been used for thousands of years and have been used all around the world. Skilled craftsmen made the buttons and here is one of them…

A beautiful old mother of pearl-button that was found by Åke Liderberg (read more further down) and sawed onto his cool party suit ( a bit like the did it, back in London over a hundred years ago).

Now it’s been in my possession for 1,5 years and it needs to be seen and admired, but time as a ring.
(The lucky owner can look forward to having the northern light on his/her finger😉👌🏼!)
