Mending is important. And what greater example of that than Nepal itself?
Day 14 since the catastrophic flash floods, and today also happens to be the first Gen Z Martyrs’ Day, exactly one year after the September 8–9 Gen Z movement.
Nepalese people are reliving the painful memories of what happened a year ago, while also coping with the realities that continue to unfold around us.
Situations like these are much harder for those whose families have been shattered. It is beyond imaginable to think about what life may look like for those who have lost someone dear, or for those whose hopes have been deeply shaken. There are no words that can truly measure that kind of pain.
Keeping in mind that there is pain greater than anything we can understand, those of us who see, hear, worry, and carry the weight of knowing what is happening can only try to make sense of it all. Perhaps, for those of us trying to find our way through these days, mending can mean something different for each of us.
🩹Maybe it is helping where we can.
🩹Maybe it is being grateful for the people beside us.
🩹Maybe it is offering a little more kindness.
Moving forward can feel impossible. And sometimes, there may be no clear way forward at all. But perhaps, when we can, all we can do is find the strength to keep going.

🫂Kindness and hope to the families who are deeply hurt and devastated.
