🌊 Fashion doesn't just impact our closets—it impacts our oceans.

The fashion industry generates about 20% of global industrial wastewater, while a single cotton T-shirt can require around 2,700 liters of water to produce. From dyeing to fabric finishing, chemicals can enter rivers and waterways, eventually reaching the sea.
This World Ocean Day, every choice we make can help protect our waterways and oceans. 🌊💙

Every thoughtful purchase is a step toward cleaner oceans. 💙

🌍 This World Environment Day, we're reflecting on the true impact of what we wear.

The fashion industry is one of the world's most resource-intensive industries—consuming vast amounts of water, generating pollution, and contributing to growing textile waste.
But fashion can also be a force for good.

By choosing thoughtfully made products, supporting traditional craftsmanship, and investing in pieces designed to last, we can help create a future where people and the planet thrive together.

Every purchase is a vote for the kind of world we want to live in. 💚

92 million tons of clothes end up as waste each year — but together, we can turn fashion’s footprint into a cycle, not a landfill.

Today is International Day of Zero Waste ♻️ — it promotes sustainable consumption, production, and better waste management to tackle global pollution.

Last year's edition highlights "Towards zero waste in fashion and textiles," addressing the massive waste generated by the sector — which is always a concern at LWH.

Individuals can contribute to the movement by:
♻️Reducing Consumption:
Buying only what is necessary and opting for high-quality, durable products.

♻️Reusing and Repairing:
Extending the life of items to prevent waste.

♻️Recycling and Composting:
Ensuring proper disposal of materials.

♻️Raising Awareness:
Using hashtags like and to share sustainable practices.

Our impact:
✅We use 100-year-old looms which don't need electricity to weave the textiles.
✅We use sustainable production to support a locally based economy.
✅We use locally grown materials, such as wild natural h**p and natural dyes.
✅We create upcycled collections by using discarded materials from manufacturers, such as silk saris, to make beautiful home decor, clothing and accessories
✅We are plastic free, promoting sustainable and eco-friendly materials such as reusable bags, reusable sanitary pads, h**p bags…

50 million people live in modern slavery worldwide !
Fashion supply chains are a high-risk sector.

We support to demand mandatory supply chain transparency labeling to End Modern Slavery Now!
Join us on March 8th for International Women's Day for their online annual gathering. (empowermentcollective.org / endmodernslaverynow.org)

Each year on March 8th, Empowerment Collective, a 100% survivor-led organization dedicated to ending modern slavery, invites women and allies around the globe to unite and demand that the exploitation hidden within our supply chains is unveiled, empowering us with the necessary knowledge to fill our homes and lives with slavery-free products.

There are 50 million people globally in modern day slavery — people whose dignity and personal liberties have been stolen in pursuit of profit, and whose exploitation continues largely because of a lack of transparency in our global trade systems.

We gather on International Women’s Day because modern slavery is a gendered issue. Globally, women are significantly more vulnerable to being trafficked into modern slavery, but we also control 85% of consumer spending worldwide (Forbes, 2024), giving us immense power to shift this reality through our everyday choices.
