Wow, was it just me, or did Akaroa unleash a full-on energy tsunami this weekend? The air was buzzing louder than the previous cicada's ,gas prices sky-high and still the town was alive to the max! I’m loving this for us. We ended up calling in extra pit crew to help Jane at the store, because the crowd was roaring and the vibes were unstoppable. What a weekend !

Oh, and hold onto your sun hats, because we’ve got a shiny new brand rolling into Ça Bouge soon- Zoe Kratzmann. You asked, we delivered =)

Treasure Hunt ... i'll be doing a treasure hunt on (Instagram) in Akaroa , starting in 15 minutes , i have over $1500 in goodies for you to grab ! So this is fun for everyone , there is just one thing i ask of you =) when you get the bag of goodies you comment on the post ( tell us whats in the bag and that the bag is claimed , so others wont head to the destination that has already been claimed X Gas is pricey .....

So much to tell you , so little time for updates , sorry for the lack of post's ( running 3 businesses is way harder than i thought lol if i ever suggest of opening a 4th , 5th i cant recall how many i'm now at ( you need to stop me immediately!😂
Firstly ,after a slight delay in arrival , New Season Mia Fratino cashmere is now in store , i've seen a few pieces leave the store this morning , thats a good sign that we picked some cute ones , locals get a 10% discount be sure to mention this at the counter X
Lavaud 45 now has Swanndri , Superdry , Just another Fisherman ,huffer , federation and more! You'll find most things between both the stores =) The support has been incredible ,

What a week it has been! We hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and dry. While we dealt with a bit of water, we’re happy to report that we are officially open for business, and so is the rest of our wonderful Akaroa community. Spread the word =)

Meet the new face of Lavaud 45! ✨
We are so stoked to officially announce that Maia has taken over a full-time role here in our second store. Honestly, she’s a bit of a wizard. While I’m over here struggling with basic customer service (if I glance at you too long, I go cross-eyed and then neither of us knows which eye to focus on 😂), Maia has this calm, homely vibe that everyone just loves.
She’s also dangerously organised. I gave her a box of clothes to steam, and she repacked them in alphabetical order. 🤯 She’s timely, tidy, and basically the "organised yin" to my "chaotic yang."
When she’s not making sales look easy, you’ll find her:
🥾 Hiking & exploring nature
🎨 Getting creative with art
📚 Getting lost in a good book or a psychology deep-dive
🌊 Hanging at the beach
She loves fashion, conservation, and—most importantly—people! I asked for her dislikes, but we decided it’s probably safer to leave those off the internet. 😉

I came to Akaroa for a chill life and spotted a FOR SALE sign at Ça Bouge Boutique. My brain whispered, “This could be fun!” Hubby whispered back, “Nope.” I won the argument with a grin bigger than the shop window.

We did a quick inventory remix, added fresh brands, and watched men wander in, Reverse back out, then park themselves on the outside bench like they’re waiting for a bus. So we rang up the old Gin Bar crew, nabbed the lease at 45 Rue Lavaud, and somehow convinced the hubby this chaos is a win.
After a new floor - whipping up some racks - wee splash of paint we have ......

Lavaud 45 Boutique — our second, cosier space, built for rugged, relaxed menswear and womenswear -with a sale-treat tucked in the glass house .Current lineup- Just another fisherman, Huffer, Federation. Superdry and Nautica on the way. It’s casual cool with something for everyone, and a bench for the occasional fashion show spectator. Opens Today 10am =)
