Why do we as a society apologise when we cry? The last thing we should be doing is apologising for being upset.

I was in a meeting and crying while explaining to a person where I thought my inner critic voice came from. They told me that I should be trying to match my inside with my outside, and that it's a lot of angst and energy to be ☀️ on the outside when my insides are ⛈.

And to just let it out. Explain it out. Things never get better or I will never feel valid until my true feelings and thoughts see the light of day.
