I'm Annika. I'm a writer, creative director, and full time mother to my three children: Vahla, Erling, and Ylva, who I call 'the moons'. We live with their father (the love of my life) and our eight chooks (Dolores, Frida, Rapunzle, Poppy, Love, Racing Stripe, Blanche, and Cordelia) in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges. We spend our days mostly outside exploring, creating, and naming a range of imaginary farm animals that we hope to own someday.⁠

I'm an extremely sentimental person so I get almost panicked at the thought of missing a moment, forgetting something beautiful that they've said or done, or skipping past something that might mean something someday. I want to remember it all, obsessively record it, preserve it, memorise it, but also just be present in it, it's a dance. ⁠
