A Total Knockout!

Introducing the first round in our boxing-themed series, where homegrown wool goes head-to-head with imported fabric β€” and the local hero lands the first blow!

Boom. Boom. Kapow!

In Round 1, our woolen warrior β€” Superfelt β€” knocks the import flat on price. A clean left hook, and it’s down for the count!
Noticed how pricey imports have become lately?

Are We Preaching To The Converted?

We've just completed a stunning project for Team Architects for the Metropolitan Cathedral of The Sacred Heart in Wellington. In this case the selection was from our extensive range of Cryptons.

This project beautifully highlights the versatility of our Crypton fabric range - proving just as suitable for heritage spaces as for retirement and aged care facilities.

The choice of hymns is appropriate too - Luke 15 is about the parable of the lost sheep, and Psalm 23 begins with:

"The Lord is my shepherd"

Whether it be a woven Crypton or one of our New Zealand wools, Maxwell Rodgers have a textile solution appropriate to any end use.

President Trump Declared April 2 Liberation Day.

Liberation from the toxic fumes of petrochemical based textiles?

Liberation to incorporate bold design initiatives reflecting individual taste and style.

Liberation to embrace natural fibers and the sustainable benefits they bring to the planet.

Liberate the hotel guestroom with a custom natural fiber wool bedthrow from Maxwell Rodgers.

Hospital fabrics have very specific needs - the ability to launder at high temperatures to kill bacteria being a key one. Inherently fire retardant another. The fabrics we supplied Auckland Hospital 25 years ago still look great even after numerous washings, and the integral mesh technology has become the benchmark for performance. Digital technology has brought with it the ability to create custom designs as we did for Christchurch with images of Hagley Park.

If you have a hospital project please contact us for a high performance textile that is engineered to perform in a very demanding environment and yet provides you with the creativity of designing something specific to the project.

This was one of the most clear-cut cases since Ewenice had been admitted to the Baa.

She found that beyond reasonable doubt, a fabric made using sustainably grown and processed wool provided much greater value than a synthetic fabric made from petrochemicals.

Her verdict was that throughout the whole process, wool fabrics provided far superior attributes that will benefit both the client and the planet.

Maxwell Rodgers with their wools being manufactured in New Zealand bring additional benefits by way of the 300 Kiwis employed in the factories that process the wool from the Sheep's back.

An open and shut case - but ewe be the judge!

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way...

Oh what fun it is to go the to the beach for a much needed break before returning in '25, for what everyone is hoping to be a better one than the one we are leaving behind.

Thank you to those who supported our wool story in '24 - and the contribution that makes to our economy - and to those who are yet to embrace the benefits we look forward to working with you as the year progresses.

Baabara and Ewenice.

Lambing season has begun, in about eight months the lamb's fleece will be long enough to be ready for their first shear. Maxwell Rodgers only uses the finest of wools to manufacture our stunning throws and fabrics (did we mention it is all sustainably sourced?)

Ewe Choose - Battle at the Baabaa Shop!

Everyone has their own style - or lack of it - it's such a subjective thing. As humans we do like to differentiate ourselves and let our personalities show. We often are inspired by others, for better or worse. We create our own signature to reflect what works for us. Similarly in hotels the ability to differentiate a room in a hotel has limitations - yet a stunning custom throw can create the signature item in a room and differentiate that properly from the competing one next door. An item that brings with it, its own style.

That's where we can help, creating for you a stunning throw which provides that key point of differentiation.

Come for a visit to www.maxwellrodgers.com to see what we can do to help find your signature item.
