It's been a while, with a winter busy as .... and not getting my documented work up on the screen. So this pair was a copy of an old favourite. Imade then a while ago, a summer starts to rise, it's time to post ! The 9cm heels were a lucky find. Always like a challenge even though heels are not really my thing

Green suede Romanesce influenced thick wedge soles ... a fun summer shoe commission with a lot of detail, much more so than making a pair of boots with all those straps to cut and fit ....but hey someone's gotta give it a go

I don't post often but looking back on the last few months of photos thanks to Google reminders !
I am sometimes amazed at the variation in my commissions and repairs ... no day is the same.
Sometimes the court shoe pops up. One of my first assignments at shoe design college years ago I csn still remember that feeling of oh no here we go ...
Never being able to find a pair of shoes that fit can be heartbreakingly frustrating and having a pair that fit those feet on on your wedding day can bring so much joy
Making shoes to fit feet is always a good challenge both in getting the last just right and then the patterns perfectly clipped ... I still feel this particular challenge when I am requested to make the classic court shoe ... I prefer to add a strap... never understood how anybody can walk in this style nevermind elegantly !! ... I learned from my early mentors that you don't have to love the style to enjoy the making process ... i guess it's the challenge that keeps me rolling and that smile on my clients face when we get to that final fitting day
