Karishma Design Slow deliberate, zero-waste, designer clothing, made to transform and empower the makers, the wearers, and our mother earth.

Every Karishma collection is inspired by both the earthly, “essential woman” and the ethereal goddess who has inspired throughout the ages. As other artists paid tribute to women with paint and chisel, so too does Karishma’s design team, through the draping of each piece. The Karishma collection is designed to celebrate women – as the embodiment of strength and elegance. The Karishma woman possesses both, and the collection reflects this passion. The Karishma woman is one who segues with confidence from cocktails, to the conference room, and seeks to do so with sophistication, every time. Enhancing the absolute perfection of the inner being, Karishma is for the soul. Like the more casual 2K collection, Karishma celebrates the individual. Each piece is cut to imbue the wearer with her own brand of understated sexiness. To fluidly highlight her special essence.

You are invited to participate in a fun and playful global walking experience … called the Defashioning Self Dressing as Meditation , Walking as Style Activism - a mindful walking and ways of knowing where u get to experience clothing as relationship , story , lineage and living energy . This walk asks what becomes possible when dress is no longer approached as performance , trend or consumption but rather as presence and essence . The walk is in two locations . The Auckland walk is on 30 th September at 11 am , meeting point is reserve in new market , beside the swimming pool
The Melbourne walk starts at 9.30 for 10 am - meeting at the corner of Kerr street and Brunswick road ( outside Nico’s sandwich bar , under the cherry blossom tree )
Both walks start with a 21 minutes coming together , 21 minute walking through the noise , and the last 21 minutes will be a returning back to self with a reflection and coffee. The amazing Doris de Pont will lead you in Auckland and Miraculous Me | Style Activism wil lead u in Melbourne… so looking forward to seeing u there !!

Get Repost App • V I V A Every fashion week show has its best dressed, but none quite like Kāhui Collective. Heru, pōtae, taonga, kete, paraikete – and that was just the front row.

It was a full house for the showcase of 15 Indigenous designers from Aotearoa and the Pacific, and deservedly so. More than a runway, Kāhui Collective is a movement.

As the lights went down, sounds of taonga puoro echoed across Shed 10 before an emotive video set the tone for the storytelling to come. The theme: Te Taiao. A celebration of our relationships to the natural world through Indigenous design.

As each label presented their collection, the designers transported us to their homes and their cultures – a deep reverence for whakapapa, across borders.

I am thrilled to lead this program at Manurewa High Manurewa High School. This kiapapa strongly supported by the Kura and many amazing kaiako before who worked tirelessly Rekha N Madhwan Brendan Lambert.. I think what makes me most proud is that this kaupapa truly affirms Mason Druri words “ what’s good for Maori is good for all “
U see these words are so deeply rooted in matuaranga Maori from its culture of kotahitanga, to the radical care of Manakitanga … that it really empowers and helps us create systems that empower all cultures of Aotearoa - therefore creating a pluriverse that thrives . The akonga of Mhs truly embody this
