Update for ANZAC Day!

Anzac Day!

The Air Force Heritage Flight of New Zealand (AFHF) are making final preparations for this Friday's Anzac Day flypasts; please see this link for details of the RNZAF's flypasts as a whole: https://www.facebook.com/share/1BdexGu941/

For the AFHF flypasts, expect to see the modern RNZAF Beechcraft T-6C Texan II from the Central Flying School leading the Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX, and the North American P-51D Mustang.

We will notify any updates concerning the AFHF right here on this page.

Tauranga your Anzac Day flyover Classic Flyers NZ schedule is below👇

Keep an eye on the skies this Anzac Day, with flyovers planned as part of the commemorations - thanks Classic Flyers NZ ✈

The first flyover is scheduled during the Mount Maunganui Dawn Service. Shortly after, the same aircraft will make their way over the Pāpāmoa and Tauranga Dawn Services.

Later in the morning, additional flyovers are planned for the Tauranga Civic Memorial Service and the Mount Maunganui Civic Memorial Service.

A moving tradition that brings our community together in remembrance. Lest we forget.

This is the latest schedule from the team at Air Force Heritage Flight of New Zealand for their ANZAC Day flypasts ✈️

Anzac Flypast Update: Additional points added, Avenger unavailable

The Air Force Heritage Flight of New Zealand Team continue to plan for one of the most important events on our display calendar: Anzac Day.

The additional flypast locations of Tangimoana School and Hiwinui School have been added; please see full flypast route below. Whilst we are excited to plan for these two new locations, we unfortunately do so without the mighty TBM Avenger; a technical issue is preventing the aircraft from taking part.

We apologise for any disappointment that this will cause, however we look forward to the return of this incredible aircraft in the future.
