Three years ago our lives looked so different, I was on the benefit with a newborn trying to find a way to help support us and stay home with her.
The first year looked like making so many mistakes, learning a lot of things the hard way and trying to do everything by myself. Imposter syndrome definitely hit me hard and I doubted myself every single day.
Then one year in we were sitting in the lounge at midnight just having a yarn and Maraki showed me this design he had just drawn up. As soon as I saw it, I contacted our manufacturers and ordered our biggest order I had ever placed without even sampling it😅 (Do not do this😂)
It sold out in five minutes.
From there, Order by order, Customer by customer, whānau by whānau The Pēpi Pozy grew🥹
What started as something to help provide for my whānau became something so much bigger than I ever imagined.
Over the last three years this community has helped our whānau move into a warm & safe whare, Donate to over 170 different fundraisers and kaupapa, Create jobs for our whānau and community AND has helped our culture and toi be seen by new people every single day by wearing our kākahu😭🥹🤎
To celebrate our third huritau, We are opening our final uncapped pre-order of 2026 for three of our favourite tāniko pieces (there may even be a new one👀)
