I haven’t been very active on here recently and I’m hoping to remedy that this year. I love to craft and feel frustrated that I haven’t had the time to create and enjoy my passion. In saying that, I just wanted to share this gorgeous wee pic of a beautiful wee lady all the way over in the UK who is wearing one of my creations that I sent over for her after she was born at the end of last year. Meet Arla, just 3 months old and the perfect model 🥰. She is just the cutest and look at that smile 💝

I’m very much a beginner with quilting but I’ve been bitten by the bug. It’s such a fun thing to create. Finally after nearly 12 years I was able to deliver the promised 21st birthday quilt to my niece. I confess I had no idea what I was doing initially which was why it never seemed to eventuate but after some tuition from my wonderful friend I had the confidence to actually start and finally finish a quilted item. The recent baby quilt was a real learning excercise and gave me the confidence to try another and so while this is not what I originally planned for my niece it is way better than I was going to make. And she loves it 💕.Can’t wait to start another one soon.

I was excited to have an old school friend stay last weekend- we go back over 40 years and have had a lot of catching up to do. Jane just happens to be an amazing crafter especially quilting so when I had a request ( all the way from the USA) for a 2 layered baby blanket I asked Jane for some ideas. I found this fabric in my stash (with absolutely no recollection of where it came from) and this quilt/blanket was born. I’m beyond excited as I’ve never made a quilt before and under such excellent tutelage I was able to create this of which I am immensely proud. I’m about to start another slightly larger quilt now before my niece gives me a hard time - come on Olivia you know you were about to 😂I owe my niece a quilt for her 21st - she is now 32!! Can’t rush these things but watch this space - I have the knowledge, and the fabric and a brand new plan😜

Brand new fabric- I still can’t resist buying some nice fabrics. The outer is a lightweight brushed cotton, beautiful and soft and the lining is from a remnant I bought from a thrift shop. Buttons are antique recycled buttons from my mum’s stash. Size approximately 12 months - this is a roomy jacket. $35.

It’s been far too long since I’ve done any sewing. But I’m caught up on the mending and now I can work on stocking up since I’m a bit low on some items. But first to finish those UFO’s - unfinished objects - so once this top is complete then I can start some new projects. I’m thinking jackets and some warm wee dresses. Let me know if there is something in particular you’d like to see being made.

I have some newly made wax wraps available if anyone needs to renew their stock. $6 each, made from 100% cotton and coated in a blend of beeswax, Jajoba oil and pine resin. There will be more coming in the near future once I restock on beeswax - I have some new fabric waiting to be made into wraps 😁

Just finished this sweet loose fitting top from donated Broderie anglaise fabric in a crisp white. Size 5 according to the pattern but it does seem quite wide. The pattern says to fit a 67cm chest. The top measures 43cm across the front from underarm to underarm. I’d love to see this on someone so if anyone has a little miss about 5-6 years of age of average build, who wouldn’t mind being a model for me, please private message me.
