Pussy-cat prints are a go! These stellar giclée art prints will come printed on 230gsm smooth matte paper, in A4 size, and come individually sealed with backing card, ready to frame or hang however you choose!

As always, we will be donating proceeds to Qtopia, so these are $30 each, plus NZ-wide postage if needed at $5 (or free collection from Christchurch).

Last week we were able to donate once again to our chosen charity, Qtopia, and that included any amount on top of your purchase that you chose to donate. Thank you to everyone who has purchased a tee, we love seeing you wear them and we love being able to give to such an important community organisation. We asked the lovely Kirsty to share what it meant to her to wear the Pussy-cat tee. Here's what she so generously shared with us. P.S. How amazing is our P-Cat community??!

"The glorious p***y cat tee! Where do I start... I never bothered coming out. I think I always knew I was bisexual, but it just didn't seem super relevant and all my long term relationships happened to be with men and then I married a man so I didn't feel the need. Coming out also always felt scary and not safe. So I just never did (sorry, not sorry to anyone finding out in this post 😅😆🤣).

When my kid came out to me I realised that I didn't ever want him to feel like he couldn't just be himself and so I dedicated a lot of time (and have continued to ever since) to learning and growing and trying to be better and do better so that he would never have to feel scared or ashamed to be himself. Part of that learning came through connecting with Qtopia and learning about the wonderful resources, groups and support they have in Ōtautahi for our rainbow community. My goodness they do amazing mahi and were such huge support to us in the early days of learning how to walk alongside my son.

So these lovelies could have made a tshirt with just about anything on it and I still would have bought it just to support this wonderful cause BUT...
It just so happens I'm also a midwife as well as a cervical cancer survivor so vulvas and reproductive health are topics I'm incredibly passionate about! I'm hoping that wearing this tshirt will stimulate conversation and challenge people while supporting an amazing cause!"

A LITTLE INTRO!
Pussy-cat Tees, is a project started by Val and Sara, a q***r couple, based in Ōtautahi. What started out as a birthday party outfit soon turned into a passion project, with the support of our local community.

Wearing or seeing the Pussy-cat print can be really confronting for many. The initial discomfort, we realised, is the shame that society and history have unfairly put upon us. However, the pride that comes when you consciously choose to not buy into that, with a p***y-cat tee, is so empowering. Seeing others experience that pride is all the reward we need from this passion project. We want to raise our children in a different world to how we were.

Inclusion and authenticity is extremely important to us, so we decided that we wouldn't do a standard range of clothing, and rather, let our Pussy-cat wearers choose the style and size that makes them feel the best. Our designs are for everyone to feel confident and empowered in.

Being part of the rainbow community, and with children that also identify as rainbow, prompted us to turn this into a charitable cause. We have donated 100% of all profits to Qtopia, as their mission is so valid and worthwhile and we are excited to continue to do so!
