Swag 1T Swag 1T is a Waitaha Canterbury- based initiative born from the heart of a Kiwi whanau navigating life with Type 1 Diabetes.

Alena was diagnosed in 2021 at just six years old, during the COVID-19 pandemic. By 2023, she had begun using an insulin pump, but finding a suitable pump belt in Aotearoa New Zealand proved difficult. That's when Nana Corina, a skilled dressmaker /designer stepped in to create custom belts for Alena. Recognising the wider need, we launched Swag 1T. Our mission is to provide high quality, convenient and stylish pump belts that give wearers a sense of confidence and a touch of swag.

A first for Swag1T — our very first custom band for an Omnipod user, made in our Warrior Fury print.

This one is a bit different to our usual builds. Because Omnipod is tubeless, there’s no pump to carry in the band itself — instead we’ve built in a front pocket for the Omnipod controller, and a separate back pocket for the phone. This little warrior is also getting one of our CGM arm covers to keep their Omnipod protected day to day.

We love figuring out how to make Swag1T work for every kind of T1D setup, and Omnipod families, we see you too. If this is your set up, we’d love to hear from you — this could well become a regular in our range.

One lucky family is getting their pump bands in two of our favourite prints — Dragon Puzzle and Golden Rings. Dragon riders on one side, ring collectors on the other. Handmade right here in New Zealand, just for them.

New in the Swag1T lineup — and these ones are for the adults in the room.

First up, our slip-on and domed pump bands, now with a phone pocket on the front. Because sometimes you just need your pump and your phone accessible without any fuss — especially when you are out living your life.

And then there are the bra pouches. Two styles, because every body and every routine is different.

The first style clips at the centre of your bra with a fold-over flap opening and a discreet opening at the back for your tubing. Secure, hidden, and tidy.

The second style clips around your bra strap and tucks inside — open top for quick, easy access. Perfect if you are reaching for your pump throughout the day and do not want to be wrestling with a flap every time.

All handmade right here in New Zealand, designed by someone who gets it.
