I am proud of the team I got to take back home with me.The hands, hearts, and eyes that helped bring this story to life.

As this chapter begins to close, the journey behind it does not.

I lived a dream.
Then I created another.
And somehow, they collided in the most unimaginable way.

For me, this was never just about a product.

It was lived experience translated into design.
A conversation between performance and style.
Between the field and the clothes.
Between the little boy I was and the man still learning how to turn up for himself.

To be part of a first-of-its-kind moment with means more than I can explain.

Not because it is history for the sake of being first.
But because of what it stands for.

Progress.
Breaking barriers.
Opening pathways.
Showing the next young kid that the story does not have to end where they think it does.

HOME.
FAMILY.
HEALING.
RECONNECTION.

Those words became the centre of everything.

The big house.
Crosbie Park.
The people who raised me.
The people who believed in me before I knew how to believe in myself.
The moments I had to come back to, not to change them, but to finally hold them with peace.

I have spent so much of my life getting back up.

Getting tackled.
Falling.
Standing again.

Down, up.
Down, up.

That is where I learned resilience.
That is where I learned to keep going.
That is where I learned the continual pursuit of better.

This project reminded me that you can still dream as an adult.
You can live one dream, step away from it, and still have another waiting for you.
You can lose parts of yourself, find new ones, and keep moving forward with purpose.

There is no age limit on hope.
There is no timeline on becoming.
There is no rule that says your next chapter cannot be bigger than the one before.

To everyone who has shown love and support through this campaign, from HOME to around the world, thank you.

Thank you for listening.
For feeling it.
For allowing me to share this part of my story.
For reminding me that healing can move, dream, and belong.

Not as words on a page, but as things he had to live, feel, carry, and come back to. The big house in Belfast. The field at Crosbie Park. The people who raised Lewi when the dream was still just a feeling. The people who stood behind him before the world ever saw him. The moments he had to come back to, not to change them, but to finally hold them with peace.

Home of the Riccarton Knights.

The red and black jersey.
Number 7 on a young boy’s back.
Black boots on his feet.
A dream moving through him before he had the words to name it.

Before the bright lights.
Before representing his country.

There was grassroots footy.

At the club, the game was never just a game. It was where young people learned to move together, trust the pass, and feel the quiet reward of helping their mates succeed.

The quiet hands behind the game.
The ones who kept the jersey, the club, and the dream moving forward.

This boot is for them.

For the kids who found hope on local grounds.
For the hometown legends.
For the pros.
For the retired players.
For every person who gave something to the game.

Sometimes, reconnection does not arrive loudly.
Sometimes, it arrives softly.

A grandson.
His nana.

For Lewi and Nana Aileen, Pop Wiremu was home in human form. Humble, gentle, grounded. The kind of man whose presence stayed with you because of how he carried himself.

To Lewi, he was more than a grandfather. He was his hero.

The man he followed as a little boy.
The man whose values shaped him.
The man whose memory still walks through every part of this story.

After Pop Wiremu passed in 2022, something tender shifted.

Lewi and Aileen were never disconnected, but grief has a way of placing silence between people who share the same ache. Sometimes love can feel too full to hold.

Through the lens of the big house in Belfast, the GEL-CUMULUS™ 16 returns to where so much of Lewi’s story began.

His mum, Trish, sits in the kitchen in the work overalls she wore for decades, with the photo album open in front of her.

Those overalls carry more than work. They carry early starts, long days, sacrifice, resilience, and the quiet strength of a woman who kept turning up for herself and her family.

Trish never had to tell Lewi what hard work was. He saw it.
In her actions.
In her routine.

Lewi sits in the same place where the only photo of him and his dad, Bevan, was taken. Not to reopen the past, But to meet it with peace.

A footy ball in his hands, walking through the same grass where he once pretended to be his heroes. That little boy had no idea he would live one dream, retire, start again, and one day return to that same lawn carrying a responsibility this meaningful.

The overalls.
