Do you have clothes sitting in your wardrobe unworn? Bring them along and swap items with other people.
It's like a market, but there is no money exchanged!

It is always such a fun day. We chat, snack, put together outfits for eachother, then go home with new pieces we love ❤️

I hope you still have your clothes set aside from the postponed November event. Now it's time to choose the next date. I am proposing either January 20th, or February 3rd. Let me know your thoughts by voting here or on the poll in stories.

Welcome new followers!
It must be time for a bit of an introduction. My name is Brigette, and I am a sustainable fashion enthusiast. I have a bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in Fashion. I manage a screen printing business and used to design and sew my own small clothing label .
I have seen the positive effect a new item of clothing can have on an individual, I am also very aware of the devastating effects which the fashion industry has on our planet.
I am a huge advocate for re-loving pre-loved clothing, but understand that op-shopping is not everyone's cup of tea. And so.... That brings us to clothes swaps!
I have a description of what this is in another post, but here is a brief overview;
You bring along your good quality clothing which you no longer reach for, and you trade those items with other people's neglected gems!
It costs you nothing, and you get to go home excited about styling your new items, all while giving our planet a helping hand.
I will host a swap day every 3 months (roughly) so keep following for updates the next event! It will be sometime in November, held in Hamilton again.

🌼What to bring: 10-20 items
🌼Rules: Swap items must be in good condition, no holes, broken zips or missing buttons. Items acquired at the swap must not be on-sold, but can be gifted or brought to a future swap if you change your mind.

A glimpse at some of the pieces available at our first Swap day (April) . We started out small with 8 of us. There were 12 confirmed, but being flu season a few people were spending Sunday sick in bed. Those of us who could make it had a great time, cleared our wardrobes and went home with some new exciting outfits.
We will always limit swappers to 10-20 per event depending on venue size.
